If you are anything like me and love shopping in independent retailers, galleries and craft fairs, then I'm sure over the last 18 months you would have heard of the Just A Card Campaign. Set up by the wonderful artist and designer Sarah Hamilton, it has also been championed by Mollie Makes magazine and the Design Trust.
The campaign aims to support Independent retailers and small businesses by raising awareness that all purchases, however small - even 'just a card' - can help keep these businesses alive and thriving. It is a campaign I am very passionate about, and I am therefore delighted to be part of the small team aiming to spread the message to a much wider audience.
There is now an instagram account where artists are spreading the message by sharing the Just a Card logo with their own work, and you can also follow the progress of the campaign on twitter. The campaign runs on the support of fabulous people spreading the message by re-tweeting and sharing images - so please, if nothing else, share and like as much as possible!
If you are a small business owner, stallholder or simply just want to promote this worthy campaign, you can also download flyer and a badge for your website here.
There will be much more to come in the future months, and hopefully the message will spread far and wide. Please do your bit to support by re-tweeting and liking away, and don't forget - when it comes to small business - every sale counts.
