This week I've been re-learning some lino cutting skills that I first practised at University a few years ago. DIY stamp making is something I've been doing for a while now as I find it a great way to try out patterns and new designs and keep things simple. I usually use a slightly simpler method of cutting out bits of foam and sticking them to cardboard (as demonstrated in my earlier DIY stamp making tutorial to be found here).
This time I got my cutting tools out and started carving! After transferring some handwritten lettering in pencil on to some 'speedball' soft block rubber, I used the cutter to delicately cut away the excess rubber.
I made a few different stamps to decorate my postal envelopes for mail orders to make them just that little bit happier!
